NGC 7789 Caroline’s Rose

Caroline's Rose is an open cluster discovered by Caroline Lucretia Herschel in 1783. It is also known as the White Rose Cluster. Open clusters are groups of perhaps a few thousand stars loosely bound by gravity. NGC 7789 is about 8,000 lightyears away and is about 1.6 billion years old.

Filter: Altair Quad Band {Not a good idea for star clusters}
